1. About the service

StoryPoint is a mobile app from Northern Lights Web AS (Norwegian org. no. 930 905 771) that shows local history, cultural heritage and heritage trails based on where you are, with maps, stories, treasure hunts, quizzes and AR experiences. By using the app you accept these terms.

2. Accounts

Parts of the app require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials to yourself, and for activity on your account. Creating your own account requires that you are at least 13 years old. You can delete your account at any time from the profile page in the app.

3. You explore at your own risk

StoryPoint guides you to real places, often outdoors and in terrain. You are responsible for your own safety:

• Follow traffic rules, signage and local access rules.
• Respect private property and use public access rights sensibly.
• Stay aware of your surroundings, especially when using AR through the camera. Do not use the app while driving.
• Consider the weather, the conditions and your own abilities before heading out.

Northern Lights Web AS is not liable for injury to persons or damage to property resulting from travel to or at places shown in the app.

4. Content

The content in the app (points, stories, images and more) is created by content partners such as municipalities, museums, local history societies and businesses. Each partner is responsible for its own content. If you find content you believe is wrong or inappropriate, we appreciate a note by email.

All content in the app belongs to Northern Lights Web AS or the individual content partner, and may not be copied or reused commercially without an agreement. The map service uses open map data, and the map icons are based on Solar Icons (CC BY 4.0).

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• attempt to bypass access restrictions, such as access codes or hidden content you have not been given access to
• disrupt or overload the service, or use it for anything illegal
• impersonate someone else or misuse another person's account

Violations may lead to your account being closed.

6. Availability and liability

We work to keep the app available and accurate, but the service is provided as is, without warranties. Content may be changed or removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. Our total liability is in any case limited to the extent permitted by Norwegian law.

7. Partners and subscriptions

Organizations that publish content in StoryPoint do so under a separate partner agreement with Northern Lights Web AS. Subscription and payment terms are agreed there and are not governed by this document.

8. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes we will notify you in the app. Continued use after a change counts as acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are resolved by the ordinary Norwegian courts.
